Consider these Before Getting Vaccinated

consider-these-before-getting-vaccinated

With the COVID-19 vaccines currently being rolled out, it is natural to have questions on when you should take it and whether you should, for that matter—and for a good reason.

Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are various reasons why you should wait out or even refrain from getting certain kinds of vaccines.

This is not to say, that vaccines are bad and dangerous. There is no question about its necessity. However, just like how every medication and/or procedure can affect different people differently, so can vaccines.

Some of the reasons why they may so include age, allergic reactions to one or several of the vaccine ingredients, not to mention the different compositions of each, among other factors. Also, bear in mind that your independent pharmacy may carry a certain flu vaccine that has a different make from what your last pharmacy so it is best to ask extensively first.

That is why, as your trusted retail pharmacy in Menifee, California, we at Lotus Pharmacy have listed down some of the questions you must consider seriously before getting vaccinated.

  1. Do you have a compromised immune system?
  2. Do you a history of a severe allergic reaction? Or have you had an allergic reaction to a particular vaccine?
  3. Are you currently pregnant and or breastfeeding?
  4. Do you have a medical condition? Individuals with Guillain-Barré Syndrome or a history of it should discuss the risks.

Of course, with a dedicated pharmacy in California like us, you can have the assurance that you will be briefed and tested to make sure it is safe for you to take the particular vaccine.
